Miel's abstract expressionist works are an explosion of color, texture and abandon ever bursting with life, movement, curiosity, emotion, and playful experimentation ultimately finding its way onto the canvas.

"You have not grown old, and it is not too late To dive into your increasing depths where life calmly gives out its own secret.” - Rainer Maria Rilke, Rilke's Book of Hours : Love Poems to God
The sun - It shines on the top of my head
It's bright and it's hot and it's tingly on my skin.

Let's take a walk for a while
I say, as I put my feet one in front of the other
taking a step and a step and a step and again
And in step after step after step and again,
I find I have come to a new place altogether.

I know this, I say.
I've known this as a child and I am a child again now.
I know everything here.
I know the ground,
I know the hills,
I know the grass,
I know the mountain.
I've known them as a child and I am a child again now.

Everything is here and all this is everything
It is my dreams
It is my secrets
It is my childhood home
It is my hideaway
It is what is when I close my eyes and I see it there.
But there is here now and I am here too.
And everything that is and was and will be
is scattered all around me
In pieces
In wind
In dust
and in wonder
